What to expect
SHINE is your studio. You can expect to be welcomed with open arms each time you come to our space. Expect to evolve, expand and find peace here.
Please cancel any class you book at least 8 hours in advance. If not, there is a chance you could be charged a late or no-show fee. Effective July 9, SHINE charges $5 for late cancels or no-shows for all cycle classes unless you cancel 8 hours in advance of the start time of the class.
We offer Manduka mat rentals for just $2 per mat.
Why Infrared heaters?
Infrared Heaters are so beneficial for your practice and your body.
Infrared heat directly warms muscles, allowing for a greater range of motion, helping yoga students open up, melt deep into poses and gain confidence in their practice.
Infrared heat has shown to stimulate blood flow and can help oxygenate organs, and rid the body of toxins.
Infrared heat will make you sweat, which is a good thing because it is your body’s natural way of flushing toxins. These impurities will then be released from your body as you sweat, creating a deep, detoxifying cleanse on the cellular level.
Infrared heat directly penetrates tissues, muscles and joints, allowing them to heal and regenerate through a combination of the aforementioned increased circulation, oxygenation and detoxification.
When should I show up?
New students please plan to arrive at least 15-minutes early so you have time to fill out our fancy new student form and get familiar with your new studio. We do not allow students to enter classes late. Show up before class starts to be on time. If you do not show up for CYCLE or cancel 8 HOURS BEFORE THE CLASS STARTS, you will be charged $5. There are no exceptions to this rule.
Should i bring something to drink? What should i wear?
Make sure to bring water, and lots of it, to class. Hydration is critical in yoga and barre, as it is really in any workout! Please bring a water bottle (or two) to class, especially to our Warm Flow classes. We also recommend drinking water before and after class. We offer a water dispenser for your convenience! For all of our classes, we recommend clothing you can comfortably move in. For cycle, you will need tennis shoes or cycle shoes with SPD clips. We do sell cycle shoes for those who want to take their ride experience to the next level.
What if i need to take a break?
If you need to take a break during class, take it. Your experience at SHINE is YOURS so make it work for you and never be afraid to modify or take a minute to rest.
What is Barre?
If you're wondering what the heck barre even is; put simply, it is a ballet-inspired workout that mixes ballet movements with other disciplines including pilates, dance, yoga and functional training, all set to fun and upbeat music. Sounds fun, right? At SHINE we use small weights (1, 2 or 3 pounds), exercise balls and bands to make our classes even better and more focused. Each barre class at our studio includes a warm-up, upper body workout, lower body workout, core workout and a cool down. You will leave our barre classes feeling stronger, happier and more connected to your body. For 50- 60 minutes (depending on your teacher) enjoy a challenging, motivating, sassy workout that will help you tone, lengthen and strengthen every muscle in your body. We promise that if you stick to a committed barre routine 4-5 times per week for a month, you will start to see some incredible changes in your body. Stick with it for longer and you will truly transform.
Do I need to be trained in Dance or Ballet to take Barre?
Our instructors are trained to guide you through every movement; no previous experience required..

Mind your manners:
