It’s been a very busy first month since we opened our doors but I want to extend a warm welcome and my thanks to all of our yogis for giving me the opportunity to share my passion and helping me truly do what I love.
The roots of yoga are thousands of years old and began as a spiritual practice intended to broaden consciousness, transcend bodily pain and reach a higher level of being.
While modern yoga is much less a religious practice, it still has the power to calm the mind and uplift the spirit while also strengthening the body.
The physical act of opening and stretching your body with slow movement and deep breathes will leave you both invigorated and relaxed. But beyond this there are so many other benefits of yoga including a deeper mind and body connection that can help to reduce stress and live a more peaceful life.
I know and believe this with all my heart and want to share how good yoga feels which is why I created SHINE.
